Extra-Curricular
Ski Club. The Master’s House Ski Club visits Sunday River Ski Area on four Saturdays from January through March. K-4 students must have an adult participate with them, but Master’s House alumni and members of New Life Church and other area youth groups are welcome to attend on their own. (Parents are always welcome to join or come as an add-on.) Equipment rentals and lessons are also available. Information goes home to students in October or November with registration and payment due in December. Please see Mrs. Scribner or Pastor Nate for more information.
Running Club. Meeting after school two days per week in the spring and fall, our Running Club has been hugely successful. Mrs. Harakles, our Kindergarten teacher, has inspired nearly 100% participation from students (as well as several parents). The club’s fall session grand finale was the Cape Elizabeth 5K Turkey Trot. Several students took part in the full 5K while others did well in the fun run.
Book Club. During the winter months, 3rd and 4th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Book Club after school on Thursdays. Mrs. Ebbrecht, a parent volunteer, conducts the discussions, games, and treat-making. Among the titles the students will be enjoying are The White House White-Out, Charlotte’s Web, Flat Stanley. and Charlie Muffin’s Miracle Mouse.
Horseback Riding Lessons. Come meet Stoney, Ginger, Emma, Chance, and Walter at Serenity Hill Farm. Mrs. Perreault, our art teacher, offers horseback riding lessons for the beginner or experienced rider of any age.
